The name “Boozoo Bajou” was quickly found for the new joint project. Through musical influences such as soul, dub, country and Brazilian exotica, they created their own trademark sound. With the first two singles “Night over Manaus” and “Under my Sensi” they became a celebrated part of the global downbeat scene, led by artists like “Kruder & Dorfmeister” and “Nightmares on Wax”. In 2001, they created a legendary and highly acclaimed masterpiece in this genre with their debut album "Satta", which was released on the iconic "Stereo Deluxe" label. 20 years later, this 60-minute blueprint of the chill-out scene, titled with the Jamaican word for “relax,” is available again on double vinyl, pressed from the original matrices.
