The record is really inspired by taking a minute to reflect. On both the big things, like politics and the state of the world, and the little things like a bug on a flower. The people we surround ourselves with, the places we pass our time, and how these things all influence each other. Place, pattern, people.

"Place, Pattern, People" is the debut full length record by guitarist and composer Robbie Belchamber. Exploring linear melodies, layers of acoustic sounds and fluid approaches to rhythm, it lands loosely in an alternative folk genre. The record draws from Robbie's experience playing in bands around Naarm/Melbourne and is influenced by alternative folk, samba, spiritual jazz and other genres.
