1LP Vinyl

It's here! The 8th studio release in 18 years from Australia's live dub pioneers – the mighty Agency Dub Collective.
The LP Bang for your Buck, delivers just that: hard hitting value, recorded over 2 years and 1,600 km between Collingwood, VIC in July 2014 and Ocean Shores NSW 2015. The A side captures the last days of a lush 24-track tape recording facility in an inner Melbourne back alley, with vintage mics and amplifiers no less. The polished yet gritty production supplied by a cooperative of gear-nuts and audiophiles. This would be the final session (to date) with ADC's Melbourne militia. Post production saw trumpet and alto glide upon the soulful, at times rocky, reggae beats. 1970s synthesizer and effects were injected for science.
The B side traces a mutation of the Golden Era [$0$] lineup, reunited in northern climes, in a scorching suburban garage. With limited space and equipment, but no shortage of spontaneous roots vibe, this session harnesses the experimental synergy of old comrades. A bit more danhehall/hiphop in feel, this side is raw to the core, with splashes of vintage tape delays and classic ADC melodica. All powers combined, this instrumental long-player is as nature intended Dub to be: fiery, furtive and flavoursome.
