Plug Seven is a little record store located at 313a Smith Street in Fitzroy, Melbourne. We’ve been digging records for 20 years and travelling the world to do so, but it’s only recently that a shop came about. There are about 5000 LPs and 12″s in the shop and around the same in 7inches. We’re all about original Jazz pressings, Soul R&B and Jamaican 45s, 50s R&B, Punk Rock Prog and Psych, Underground Disco and Boogie, Roots Rocksteady Reggae and more. 90s Hip Hop. 80s Rap. Latin, African heat, Brazilian, Boogaloo, Calypso.
Most of our records are sourced from digging trips to the USA, Japan, South America, Africa & the Caribbean. You can also find a large cross section of New LPs & 7s, regularly updated with fresh orders focussing on similar genres.
Our Webstore only focusses on the rarer selections available instore but you can also check out our record accessories and some of our handmade items, such as 7inch middles, made to order furniture for your LPs & 45s, framed vintage posters, shirts and a selection of original 50s-80s Hi Fi pieces.
