B Boy Records made a big impact in a short space of time back in the eighties. It was responsible for putting out plenty of killer breaks and hip hop joints but soon disappeared as quickly as it appeared. This new compilation selects some of the label's best moments of the era, pressed across two slabs of wax . Hard-hitting percussion, raw synths and street wise raps all feature across the 16 tracks. Our picks of the bunch would have to be JVC Force's enduring classic "Strong Island" and old school legend Sparky D's "Throwdown".
