Description
7" VInyl – RS7-027
The coupling of Don Drummond's killer ska and Lord Tanamo's representative piece, "If You Were Only Mine." "Bellevue" refers to the mental institution where he was confined after being arrested for the New Year's Day 1965 murder of his lover Margarita. He spent time there until his death in 1969. This is the incredibly poignant last recording of Jamaica's unparalleled trombonist, whose tragic story marked the end of the career of the most exceptional genius in the history of Jamaican trombone players.
