In September of 1993, Alice in Chains went into the studio to jam, within a single week they created a masterpiece. 
With Dirt their sophomore album they were plunged into the midst of the Grunge revolution, Jar of flies if anything is a reflection of that. 
I'm not exaggerating by saying this is a perfect EP, every single one of the seven tracks is beautiful and individually unique, 7 is a good number to work with.
