The one and only Ernest Ranglin has been referred to as one of the finest guitarists in the world on many occasions. He is maybe best known for his work with Kingston, Jamaica pianist Monty Alexander, with whom he cooked up the seminal reggae-jazz album Yard Movement. And on this one again they fine some fantastic form, fusing ska, jazz, reggae and rocksteady into bold new forms. Legendary jazz drummer Idris Muhammad also gets in on the act and helps to make this 1996 LP a real masterpiece.
