7" Vinyl – LOLWC005
For decades, the original performance of “Gone With The Wind (is My Love)” by Gloria Jones was buried, lost, and forgotten. Lou Barretto and Rod Bumgardner, the writers of the record, discovered the unused master on acetate in Ron’s basement in 2010. Recorded at Nashville West Recording studio, the original master was not to be released. Unable to reach an agreement with Gloria’s management, Lou found a replacement performer in Rita Graham, a jazz singer who went on to become one of Ray Charles’ Raelettes. “Gone With The Wind (Is My Love)” was then released on the Dore imprint in 1967. The Tiaras, then consisting of Joyce Williamson, Latisha Harvell, and Edna Woods, performed backing vocals on the record.
