K. Frimpong & His Cubano Fiestas was a cult and rotating cast of musicians from Ghana. They were early champions of the famous highlife sound and in 1980 they put out Me Da A Onnda, a four track suite that will cost you a hefty amount on second hand markets. But this reissue will change all that. The original tracks and art are included and it is the charming percussive clatter and seductive guitar lines of 'Daben Ni' that get things underway with plenty of trademark horns. 'Me Yee Owu Den' is another sweet jam, with tangy rhythms and those lead horns lifting your spirits before the extended 'Nye Mea' works you into a spaced out mind state
