Gargantuan, behemoth, titanic, rather large, unsmall.
Its been said before, and undoubtedly we’ll trot it out again, but this drop really is a Biggie.
Winter means indoors, and indoors means more time for vinyl.. so we bequeath to you our indoorsy efforts in the form of this huge list of records.
To keep it brief (if you made it this far) please just jump to the genres you love, also look at the pics up top! Don’t forget to check both the new & old sections as both are packed with heat.
Around 350 original & 100 new releases..
If we may make some pointers.. ahhh, oh forget it, its just really really good all round. The problem is theres too much stuff worth mentioning & it would just run into massive overtime. The Jazz is HEAVY. So is the rock, & the reggae and latino..oh man. The disco too.
Just come in its way easier and we can show you then.
ENJOY!

Danser’s Inferno – Creation One
Everland Jazz present a reissue of Danser’s Inferno’s Creation One, originally released in 1973. “Creation One is a stunning eight track, jam packed album, so elusive but full of pure joy! Invigorating, stimulating, delightful, a treasure of rhythms grooves and breaks! ‘Sombre Guitar’ is the favorite to many, especially DJs! In the 1970’s, composer and multi-instrumentalist John Danser formed Danser’s Inferno, a funky jazz-rock-fusion band, an ensemble of 14 very talented musicians. Check out Sombre Guitar – unmissable.
Obatala – S/T
This is a true disco masterpiece, recorded in a New Jersey studio in the late 70s and served up for a very brief release by TK records. Austrian reissue legends Everland have come through with the goods on this reissue, finally bringing this generous serving of soulful grooves back to our collective record bags. There’s a clubby vibe at times, which lives up to the TK approach – but other moments have a much deeper east coast soul style – maybe more like some of the Stang/All Platinum groups of that scene, who did a great job of messing up modes, and really creating something unusual in the process! In other words, there’s some disco tunes on here, but the album’s hardly the usual disco outing – more of a freaky funk set, with lots of twists and turns along the way! Titles include “Work It Out”, “Funk A Fried”, “April”, “Shades Of September”, “Disco Party”, and “Tight Rope”.
Pharoah Sanders – Izipho Zam
Pharoah Sanders’ Izipho Zam (My Gifts) is an absolutely essential part of the free jazz canon. Out of print for far too long, we are thrilled to see it available again in a new edition on Everland Jazz. Izipho Zam was one of several sessions that Clifford Jordan had originally produced in the late ’60s for a label that never came to be, and put out in the ’70s as the Dolphy Series on legendary Spiritual Jazz imprint Strata-East. It features Pharoah at the height of his powers both as a player and a bandleader, accompanied by some of the biggest names in the free and spiritual jazz underground.
V/A – Crown Ruler Sound
Local man Mr Spellacey brings some big treats to the table..
From synth-laden Zambian reggae and sumptuous orchestral Afro-soul, to humid Trinidadian boogie and horizontal Italian jazz-funk, Spellacey offers a whirlwind trip through the most kaleidoscopic and exotic parts of his epic collection. The majority of the 15 tracks will be unknown to all but a handful of similarly minded crate diggers. This could be your only chance to own the boogie-era reggae-disco brilliance of Le Banda De Martin’s “Mi Dueno” and the tear-jerking Afro-soul shuffle of Kosmik 3’s “I’m Gonna Pack” (here featured in exclusive Jeremy Spellacey re-edit form).
Badbadnotgood – Late Night Tales
Every track on this comp was either shown to us by an incredible person or made by one of our friends. We also included a little cover of a song by one of our favourite current musicians, Andy Shauf. These artists, as well as many, many others, have influenced us to create, and kept our deep love of music alive. This mix will keep you company on a quiet night by yourself or with friends. You can check it out on the plane, the bus, a long walk, or any situation where you want a soundtrack for reflection and meditation.
Billy Cole – Woman / Bump All Night
Superb island soul funk 7” reissued in style by Japans Rock a Shacka. Smooth soul gem on the A-side backed with absolutely banging Caribbean funk on the Bump All Night side. Don’t miss this if you love the funk.
The Greg Foat Group – Dark Is The Sun
Limited to 500 copies this is a welcome reissue of Greg Foats first album on Jazzman. Recorded in Sweden, ‘Dark is the Sun’ is a concept album based on themes and variations by British pianist/composer/arranger Greg Foat, who has created an intriguing blend of non-contemporary jazz sounds with classic scoring techniques. An exotic array of unorthodox instrumentation was utilized, including harpsichord, tubular bells and a 15 piece choir. With musical reference and influence from such luminaries as Bruno Nicolai, Michel Legrand and Serge Gainsbourg as well as a firm nod towards UK jazzmen Michael Garrick, Keith Mansfield and Alan Hawkshaw, the result is highly-listenable, enduring and fulfilling for those who like real music played with real instruments.
Brian Eno – Abbey Road Half Speed Masters
1. Another Green World
2. Before And After Science
3. Here Come The warm Jets
4. Taking Tiger Mountain
Four of Brian Eno’s seminal albums reissued in Half Speed format by Abbey Road. Limited edition gatefold 2LP vinyl editions presented over two 180GM discs which play at 45rpm for optimum sound quality. High resolution mastering from the best known sources and half-speed cutting were supervised by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios. Each album contains an Obi, Download Voucher and Abbey Road Half Speed Master certificate.
ESG – Dance To The Best Of ESG (3LP Boxset)
Fire Records is proud to announce the global release of Dance To The Best of ESG from New Yorks legendary punk/funk family affair ESG (Emerald, Sapphire and Gold.) For the very first time, all of the songs that made the band such an innovative influence are available in a single release. Covering their earliest Martin Hannett produced tracks such as Moody and UFO right through their more recent killer tunes, this compilation leans heavily on the foundation that made them one of the most sampled artists of all-time, while touching on every one of their stellar records. Every cut runs deep and every ass had better shake. When ESG says dance you had better dance dammit!
