'The 40 Children' is a cultured collaboration between Swedish-born roots reggae authority Ras Teo and Lone Ark Riddim Force that leans fully into the discipline of their foundational sounds. Guided by Roberto Sanchez, the record follows the story of Ethiopian and Armenian connections through music and also comes with a fully dubbed out sister album. 'Wood For The Fire' set the tone with swirling melodies and glistening. Percussion that hangs over the roomy rhythms with stylised vocals. Across the rest of the set, horns drift in and out, percussion flickers and the impassioned vocals muse on the usual touchstones of love, unity and Jah.
