As a DJ I´m constantly drawn to the words dub or instrumental on a record when I´m digging and it´s always the first mix I check. Typically many of these versions still contain vocals, snippets here and there drenched in delay or reverb, and these types of tunes form the backbone of my DJ sets. This is the first in a series of mini compilations exploring these intrumental dubs, this edition has a reggae disco & boogie flavour on the A-side and a more housey vibe on the flip. Yes, it´s a five track album, but that also means the tunes are cut loud for DJ´s which is just how I like it. —  Jura Soundsystem / Kevin Griffiths
